Well, I see that John McCain has awaken from his senior moment long enough to select a running mate, and this time, it was one totally opposite of him. She's a relatively unknown politician from the far-off state of Alaska who also happens to have a Brady Bunch family and is simultaneously expecting a grand-kid from her unmarried teen daughter. And without further ado, HER name happens to be Sarah Palin.
Since when did the republicans, and not to mention John McCain become so "pro-woman?" That's easy. They suddenly evolved into this act after they realized that there would be no way in hell they'd win without the embittered women of P.U.M.A. and those who think like these idiots. This is nothing more than John McCain playing games with the American people, and might I add, the games of the same degree that the likes of Karl Rove, George Bush and Co. played to get us unknowingly involved in a nonsense war, the kind that stole the elections in the states of Florida and Ohio in 2000 and 2004 respectively, and the same kind that believes that the American people are stupid enough to fall for this blatent act of political B.S.
Now, his choice is interesting because he has a history of being very disrespectful to women, and to even go so far as to not support a bill that would force the issue of equal pay for equal work between women and men. And he wants us to believe that he's doing this all of a sudden to benefit the fairer sex? Now, we're supposed to believe that the new party of change is his, and never mind Obama? And although he probably couldn't have picked a better running mate for the disadvancement of women than Palin, he still should not even attempt to manipulate the public by picking such an inexperienced politician than she. And never mind the fact that this woman is the biggest example of how hypocritical republicans are, simply because her she's making her daughter get married to that 18-year old kid just because she's expecting. According to her philosophy and the republican politics, since when did being a knocked-up unwed teen become such an excepting event? Oh I get it. When the pregnant teen isn't an unwed minority who comes from a broken family and is raised in poverty and expects for the American tax payers to foot the bill. It's funny how she can manage everyone elses lives when she can't even manage the children in her household. And I'll bet that she would have authorized her daughter to have an abortion if she thought that no one would find out about it, being that now, she's in the fight of her political life!
Perhaps the dumbest thing about all of this is forcing the kids to marry on account of having a little one. Adults fail at shotgun marriages due to pregnancies, so what makes her think that 2 kids having a kid are going to be successful? Again, I get it. Anything to save face and not look like the hypocritical asswipes that you actually are. Yes, the picture is very clear now. You say your daughter has decided to "keep" the baby and move forward with her plans to get married, but you want to limit the "choices" that other women have when it comes to deciding what's right for them? Well, I guess the message for the day is, Mommy knows best, about how to be hypocritical!
